“Feedback is a gift” is a favourite saying at Laidlaw Corporate Coaching. It is our belief that feedback that is gathered and delivered in a confidential and supportive manner can be one of the best gifts that any employee in an organization can receive. When leaders are not aware of how their style and processes are impacting the work and morale of others, they are at a huge disadvantage. Time and time again, senior leaders in organizations have shared with us their gratitude that we were able to gather this information and helped them use it in productive ways.
Feedback can be gathered in many ways: through the use of 360-degree feedback surveys, through individual interviews with stakeholders, through observation or shadowing of leaders in their daily work routines, and so on. Confidential reports are then prepared and gone over in detail with the leader. Action plans are created with your coach to address key areas that are identified in the feedback.
